I was initiated into the Zeta Alpha Chapter of Phi Mu in November of 2000. While in the sorority house I was Activities/Intramurals Chair, Social Assistant Chair, Social Director, PR Chair, Co-Continuous Open Recruitment Chair, Historian, Vice-President, and President. I graduated in December 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Baker University. I graduated from KU in May of 2007 with a Masters of Science in Strategic Communications. I then served as an intern for United Business Media LLC. I have been employed for them as a National Account Manager since 2006. After my undergraduate degree, I immediately joined the Greater Kansas City Alumnae Chapter as VP of Programming and planned events for the GKC Alum group for several terms. I was the Social Advisor for the Zeta Alpha collegiate chapter for a year. I like socializing, techno music, decorating, going to concerts, hiking, running and most outdoor activities. This is my first time on the GKC executive board and I am very excited. Most recently I served as chapter adviser for the Zeta Alpha chapter at Baker University. I had a great year advising some amazing women. Sadly the Zeta Alpha chapter has closed but over the next three years we will continue to support our Phi Mu sisters who are students at Baker University. Our official Heart-to-Heart chapter is Zeta Lambda at Northwest Missouri State in Maryville, MO. They are a little further away but we will send our Phi Mu love and support to our collegiate sisters up North. Anyone interested in helping with Heart-to-Heart efforts this school year please contact me. Additionally, I hope to encourage all of my sisters in the Greater Kansas City area to have an active role in Phi Mu. I firmly believe that our bond is for a lifetime and each sister has special and important place in our Fraternity. I joined Phi Mu in fall 1999 and graduated from Baker in Spring 2003 with a Mass Communications degree with a minor in Speech Communications. I work for the Lawrence Journal-Would in advertising. I live in Lawrence with my husband Chris and son Connor. I'm looking forward to this year and my new role in Phi Mu!

Hello! This is my first year on the GKC Executive Board and I'm very excited to join such a prestigious group of Phi Mu ladies! I know that I have big shoes to fill following the amazing Rita Fothergill, but I know that when it comes to the web as a communication tool can be very powerful! I graduated from Baker University in 2000 with a degree in Business and Marketing. Recently I served as the Social and Panhellenic Advisor for the Zeta Alpha chapter and thoroughly enjoyed bonding with such an awesome group of young women. In addition, I also have been involved with an Alumnae marketing initiatives with Phi Mu National. I currently live in Overland Park with my husband, daughters Bailey and Camryn, two dachshunds and some fish. I work for a promotional products and marketing company and web development is my main role. I hope to use my web expertise to expand the reach and functionality offering of the Greater Kansas City Alumnae Chapter.
